Kat & Jeff

Kat and Jeff got married at the Arrowhead Golf Club outside of Littleton, CO on June 10, 2007.

The wildflowers were blooming and the weather was perfecto.

Congratulations Kat and Jeff- you guys are truly an amazing couple!

Worms and Catfish

I've been trying to come up with some ideas for my "Summer" concept for my marketing materials. It's part of an ongoing series of images that define my interpretation of the 4 seasons.

For Summer, I wanted to create a classical, timeless image of two boys out on the river bank having a good time. I found an old Butter Nut coffee can in my parent's garage, filled it with dirt, and welcomed home a couple dozen night crawlers.

Here are a couple of images from the photo shoot. Let me know what you think.

Tucson, AZ

Last month I traveled to Tucson, AZ to document Audrey and Dominic's wedding. I gave myself a few extra days to get acquainted with the cultural and scenic offerings of the area.

The cacti images were taken in and around Saguaro National Park, a truly unique and magnificent place.

Their wedding was at the historic Arizona Inn. The light and color of this place was absolutely magical. I could have photographed these two for days...

In Your Face

Occasionally, I dream up new ideas for images to use for marketing campaigns for the commercial side of my business: www.iwenexposures.com.

I've been working on an series of promo images to send out to clients that features the 4 seasons. The shoot for "Spring" was a lot of fun...Thanks to Craig, my brave model, for taking numerous buckets o' mud to the face!

Spencer y Jen

Spencer and Jen own a restaurant in Crested Butte, CO (The Ginger Café-best food in town!), and close the place down during the off-season, which is when they typically head south for a month or so. This year, they decided to gather up their closest friends and family and have their wedding celebration in paradise.

Sayulita is a sleepy little Mexican fishing village just about an hour north of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast. This gem boasts amazing surf, delectable food, and spectacular scenery. The couple got married at a mansion overlooking the ocean about a mile north of town. It was hard to fathom that I was actually working- it felt like a scene out of a movie.

My fiancĂ© and I stayed to document the week, which included zip line tours through the jungle, a fish fry with super fresh mahi mahi caught the same day, and countless hours on the beach. Spencer rented one of two rental cars available in the village, a 1965 Volkswagen Thing! Muy Bueno. I’m pretty sure that thing hasn’t had shocks since the 70’s!
